Our Batrachella Pinotage 2022 has been awarded a Platinum 97-point score at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2025, making it the highest-scoring Pinotage in the competition’s history. This recognition is a testament to the care and passion we put into every bottle.
Decanter describes the Batrachella Pinotage as:
“Tiny clusters of blackberries, mulberries and raspberries are soothed by a cooling mint effect and cushioned by billowing cocoa mocha oak. Polished and modern in stature with a savoury charcuterie depth and ravishing herbal length.”
In addition, our Cyriel Cabernet Franc 2022 received a Gold Medal with 95 points at Decanter, confirming its status as another standout wine from our estate.
Additionally, 2025 marks the 100th anniversary of Pinotage in South Africa, celebrating a century of heritage and the global recognition of this uniquely South African varietal.
2025 has truly been a remarkable year for Hasher Family Wines, culminating in being crowned Winery of the Year – South Africa at the London Wine Competition.
