From our Vineyards to the World Stage

We’re absolutely thrilled to share that Hasher Family Wines has been named “Winery of the Year” at the 2025 London Wine Competition! Our flagship Pinot Noir, Ernest, led the charge, capturing the hearts and palates of some of the world’s most discerning wine experts.

What makes this recognition particularly meaningful is the nature of the London Wine Competition itself. Now in its eighth year, this isn’t your typical wine contest. While many competitions focus solely on taste, the London Wine Competition evaluates wines the way you do – considering quality, value, and packaging all together.

Our Ernest Pinot Noir was blind-tasted alongside hundreds of entries from more than 50 countries. The judging panel, featuring Master Sommeliers and leading importers, had wonderful things to say:

David Harvey praised its “Peppery, syrah style of pinot. Nice chewy extracted tannins, a good sized mouthful of wine… Very ‘now’ modern expressive packaging.”

Francesco Fronzo noted its “Great complexity on the palate. Mainly just ripe red fruits, cherry, raspberry, floral, roses, oak very well integrated. Nice label, impactful fonts easy to read, elegant, classic font styles.”

Ernest, named after our oldest son, embodies the passion and care we pour into our winemaking. Each vintage represents our commitment to sustainable practices and our deep connection to the land. We’ve always believed that exceptional wines are born from a combination of respect for tradition and openness to innovation – values that clearly resonated with the judges.

As we celebrate this milestone, we’re also looking ahead with renewed enthusiasm. Thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey – from our dedicated team in the vineyards and winery, to every person who has opened a bottle of Hasher Family Wines and made it part of their story.

Here’s to many more shared moments and memorable vintages!
