A five-sense celebration of spring’s turning point. On Saturday, 11 October 2025, we gather for the Spring Chapter of our Family & Fine Wine Feasts: Taste the Turn of a Season.

It’s that tender moment when spring softly gives way to summer. The earth breathes out warmth. The vines reach higher, lush and green. The valley shifts from soft to strong, quickening under longer days and a sun that finally holds weight. It is the turn of the season, a time to celebrate new beginnings and the slow unfolding of a glorious summer yet to come!

For the grown-ups:

We’ll follow spring with an immersive tasting of Hasher Family Wines, layered in scent, texture, colour, sound, and flavour. Our winemaker, Natasha Williams, will guide you through the expressions of our small-batch, cool-climate wines, revealing how each one tells the unique story of this land.

For the children:

They’ll take to the fynbos with all their senses wide open. Fingers in the earth. Noses in the blooms. Listening for the hum of insects in the air. With the help of our guides, they’ll gather what speaks to them, leaves, seeds, petals, textures, and craft small, fragrant keepsakes to carry the day home in their pockets.

The Feast

As twilight settles, we’ll gather at the table in the heart of the cellar. Chef Simon Watt-Pringle, once of La Petite Colombe and now leading The Station in Hermanus, will prepare a three-course meal, pulling early fruits, tender herbs, and earthy notes straight from the valley’s hillsides. Each course will be paired with Hasher Family Wines, chosen to echo the energy and brightness of this moment in the year.

About the series

Our Family & Fine Wine Feasts follow the rhythm of the year, each one a gathering built around flavour, family, and the land that holds us. We eat, drink, and explore together, so that both children and adults can feel the season under their skin. Come with open hands and open senses. The valley is turning, and we’d love to celebrate it with you!
